In 2027, the State Advisory Council for Participation in Berlin is to be re-elected. As a legally enshrined, advisory body, the Advisory Board is committed to the concerns and rights of people with a history of migration vis-à-vis politics and administration. The Advisory Board is working on your concerns — and so that it can start selecting the most important priorities immediately after the election, we need your expertise right away.
Good policy requires practical knowledge. With this participation process, we — MoveGlobal and the EMV-LII (Empowering Migrant Voices of Local Integration and Inclusion) project — want to make the perspectives of migrant civil society visible. Your ideas can serve as guidance for the Advisory Board in setting topics for the coming years and as a powerful tool for arguing with politicians.
How you can get involved
The process consists of two parts:
Blitz survey (approx. 3 minutes): Help us to statistically prioritize the most urgent areas of action.
Three collections of ideas: Share specific problems from your everyday life or your work in a migrant organization (MO) and suggest creative solutions.
What happens with your contributions?
Until 22.01.2027: You can submit ideas online, comment on them and take part in the survey.
The evaluation: MoveGlobal then systematically evaluates all contributions, classifies them according to key topics and clusters and publishes the results report transparently here on the platform.
The handover: The bundled “Impulse Charter” is handed over to the newly elected State Advisory Board. It can serve as a basis for the Advisory Board's work and argument in order to demonstrate a specific need for action vis-à-vis politicians and administration
.
Transparency note: The Advisory Board ultimately decides on its final agenda. However, your votes can provide an important basis and political legitimacy for these decisions. We forward topics that do not fall within the competence of the Advisory Board to the responsible authorities in the districts or senate administrations.
